Are you seeking a church where you can grow in your faith and develop close relationships to help you do so?
We invite you to join us as a community of believers who are passionate about growing closer, deeper, and stronger with God and one another.
You will find we are ordinary people, of different ages, races, and backgrounds. Look around, and we bet you will find others in our fellowship who are not so different from you!
Bloom Fellowship (formerly Bloomington Church of Christ) was established in 1995 and is a part of a larger family of churches called the International Churches of Christ. Our congregation consists of families, students, professionals, singles, those who no longer have children living at home and more. We are small enough that many of us know each other very well, but we are large enough that we have a wide range of backgrounds and interests within our congregation.
Whether you have been going to church your entire life or never owned a Bible; you are welcome here. Join us for one of our events or for a Sunday worship service, or feel free to ask us to study the Bible to grow closer to God. Wherever you are in your faith, we can help you take the next step as we grow together.
So, if you are looking for a church and/or exploring your faith in God, connect with us. We want you to bloom; and there is no better way to do that than to bloom together!
What to expect at our Sunday worship service.
We meet at 804 Four Seasons Road, just behind Kroger off Oakland Avenue and Veterans Parkway.
When you attend our Sunday service, more than anything else, we want you to truly worship God. Our worship is a mixture of traditional hymns and contemporary music. Don’t worry if you don’t know the words, we display them so you can easily join along.
You can also expect time to pray, and a sermon that provides practical teaching directly from Bible presented in a way to easily apply it to your life. Our minister, as well as other members of the congregation, share their experiences deeply from the heart.
Each week we also participate in the Lord’s Supper, or communion, which you are welcome to do as well. After we worship in song, we provide children’s classes for youth up to fifth grade. You can count on our worship services usually lasting about an hour or so.
Get to know us!
We believe strongly that the Christian life extends far beyond the Sunday church service.
Consider joining us on Wednesday evenings for our midweek devotionals, joining one of small encouragement groups like the one we have in the Peoria/Morton area, and many other informal opportunities throughout the year, including community service events, social gatherings, prayer groups, Bible studies and much more. Be sure to check our calendar on the home page, information about studying the Bible, or simply contact us to connect.
