Looking for a church in Bloomington/Normal?
Maybe a better question is: What are you looking for in this life?
Are you looking for a great job, a family, or education?
Or maybe you’re looking for happiness, the kind that radiates from your soul and inspires others.
Perhaps you’re searching for purpose — a mission that impacts a hurting world.
Maybe you’re struggling in your marriage, your parenting, your career, your finances, your life’s direction…and you just don’t know where to turn.
We don’t know what your story is, what you’re looking for or where you’re going. But we do know one thing:
You’re a part of much larger story — one that started with a loving Creator and is fulfilled through his Son.
Loving God. Loving others.
We invite you to join a community of believers in the Bloomington/Normal area. We are passionate about discovering God’s story and helping others understand it as well. We don’t have all the answers, but we know what Jesus said about the most important things in in this life: Loving God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength; and loving our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:37–39).
At Bloom Fellowship you’ll find a group of ordinary people, of different ages, races and backgrounds. It doesn’t matter who you are, what you’ve done, or where you’re going; whether you’ve been going to church your whole entire life or you’ve never owned a Bible; you are welcome here. Look around, and we bet you’ll find someone who’s not so different from you!
Join us if you want to learn more about what the Bible teaches about God and what that means for your own personal story. We offer practical biblical teaching, real life help, and opportunities to build authentic Christian relationships. Ultimately, our goal is to help you know God and equip you with the tools and opportunities to love others as well.
What to expect at our Sunday service.
We meet at 804 Four Seasons Road, just behind Kroger off Oakland Avenue and Veterans Parkway.
When visiting a Sunday service, you can expect practical teaching directly from Bible that has direct application to your life. You’ll hear from our minister, Damon Brog, as well as other member of the congregation sharing their experiences from the heart. The Lord’s Supper, or communion, is offered weekly for those who would like to take it. Members offer a weekly financial offering that they have pledged, which you are not obligated to give if you are visiting. The worship is a mixture of traditional hymns and contemporary music. We offer children’s classes for youth through junior high.
We believe strongly that the Christian life extends far beyond the Sunday church service. We encourage you to explore your options that will enrich your daily walk with Christ. Consider joining us on Wednesday evenings for our Midweek devotionals, joining one of small encouragement groups like the one we have in the Peoria/Morton area, and many other informal opportunities throughout the year, including community service events, social gatherings, prayer groups, Bible studies and much more.
We want to meet you where you’re at, because we believe that is the example Jesus set. Whether you’re ready to jump in 100% or you’re not even sure if you have faith, take a step towards God with us. He’ll help you figure out the rest.

We’d love to have you join us at any time! If you’d like to check out other classes and events, visit see our calendar on the home page, information about studying the Bible, or contact us.
Bloom Fellowship (formerly Bloomington Church of Christ) was established in 1995 and is a part of a larger family of churches called the International Churches of Christ. We have a campus ministry at Illinois State University and the other area colleges and universities; a flux of students and graduates have been a part of our fellowship over the years. Between their influence and the many people who have transferred in and out of jobs in local businesses, our community of believers is continually evolving and growing.
We typically have about 50 people in attendance on Sunday mornings, which is a mixture of families, students, professionals, those who are parents but who no longer have children living at home and more. We’re small enough that most of us who have been here for a few years know each other very well, but we’re large enough that we have a wide range of backgrounds and interests within our congregation.
At Sunday worship services, you’ll get just a glimpse of who we are during the rest of the week. We believe in the practice of discipleship, which means that we strive to support and encourage one another in our faith, and imitate each other as we imitate Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1). We strongly encourage every member to build close connections with others in the congregation to help sharpen and enhance each other’s faith. If you start to attend regularly, please ask us about studying the Bible and learning more about this biblical practice. Wherever you are in your faith, there are others here to help you take the next step.
