For many people, the worship experience at a church service can be a very important part of their faith. For Bloom Fellowship, our Sunday morning service is a time to praise and honor God by singing, praying, participating in communion, learning from the Word of God.
Here’s what to expect when you join us for worship: All are welcome to attend, no matter what your background or current beliefs are. Feel free to ask someone else in attendance if you have any questions about the order of the service.
What To Expect
Our Sunday morning church service is at 10 a.m. weekly. Occasionally, we will have a special event, so please check our calendar on the home page for alternative meeting times and locations. Otherwise, worship services are at the same time each week.
We offer children’s classes for youth between aged six months through fifth grade during church services, just after our opening praise and worship. We will announce when check in opens during the service. Kids will participate in age-appropriate classes that teach the basics about Christian faith. Please alert the teachers if your child has any special needs and we will be happy to accommodate. High school and junior high students stay and participate in full worship services.
When you arrive, we encourage everyone to sit towards the front. This allows the pews in the back to be available to anyone who may arrive late, attendees with special accommodations, or those with small children who may prefer some extra space or to make an easy exit. If you have a young child who is crying, feel free to take them to the nursery on the lower level where you will have more privacy.
Worship Services

Most church services at the Bloom Fellowship kick off with an opening music set. Our talented musicians lead a mix of traditional a cappella hymns and contemporary worship with instrumental accompaniment. We like to think that there’s a little something for everyone. The goal is to help each person to emotionally and mentally engage in the worship experience.
We encourage everyone to sing along with the lyrics projected on a screen. You don’t have to be a professional singer to participate (none of us are). We believe that God appreciates the heart.
Sermon

One of the unique aspects about this church’s order of service is that you may see several men and women speak. Our minister, Damon Brog, typically delivers the sermon, but other members often supplement his lesson with thoughts they have at different points throughout the service. All of our preaching and teaching is Bible-based, practical, and relevant.
Communion/Lord’s Supper
Bloom Fellowship offers communion, also called the Lord’s supper, weekly. Anyone in attendance is welcome to participate, although we encourage you to examine yourself and your motivations before you do (1 Corinthians 11:28). Typically there is a short message to prepare our hearts for the communion and a reflective song. Participants privately take bread and juice as it is passed around in trays and may spend a moment in quiet reflection and prayer.
Fellowship

We believe that part of what makes a church service powerful is the opportunity to connect with other Christians. At the door, you’ll be greeted with a smile, handshake or hug. You’ll most likely have ample opportunity to connect with others throughout the service. We highly encourage you to stay for a few minutes after the formal service is over and get to know people. Our church members are equipped and happy to help guide you in your next steps of faith. And if you stick around, you’ll learn how to do to the same.
